Many of us didn’t get the outcome that we wanted in the most recent Presidential election, so it’s time we start doing what we can on a local level. Why not start with Myya D. Jones, who is ready to take action by running as a candidate for Mayor of Detroit, one of the United States most impoverished high crime cities? Who better to take on this task than one of Detroit’s very own?
I have lots of plans for the neighborhoods. I want people to be able to walk down the street and go to the park. I want to clean up our streets and make sure we have block clubs. I want to make sure people feel a responsibility to their neighborhood.
We can’t forget about the people who have to live in Detroit. We need to create more opportunities for people to have jobs, for them to be financially literate.
